A great way to experience the Manaslu Circuit is with expert guides and staff who know the area in-depth. Although Manaslu Circuit is gaining much popularity among trekkers, due to its remote and scenic location, visitors can still enjoy a wide range of delightful moments from the start to the end of the adventure.
Manaslu Circuit Trekking begins with an exciting long drive from Kathmandu heading Mid-West, following the main highway and then reaching mid-hills. Finally reaching the first overnight at Soti-Khola, where the adventure begins, leaving low sub-tropical heavily farmed areas. The trek progresses towards high cooler hills around lovely villages of Jagat, Philim, and Namrung, entering a region steeped in Buddhist culture.
The walk leads to the heart of the scenic Manaslu Valley, facing majestic views of Mt. Manaslu, Sringi, and Bauddha Himal. An array of snow-clad peaks grace the views throughout the walks from Lho-Gaon onwards.
Walking around the traditional villages of Lho and Sama-Gaon allows time to explore the local immense age-old heritage, customs, and culture.
The adventure heads further north-west from the last village of Samdo, where a walk leads to the bottom of Larke-La Pass. A small settlement with few lodges for travelers marks the final overnight around the Gorkha and Manaslu region. Next, an early morning climb tackles Larke-La Pass, a high point festooned with prayer flags at 5,106 meters.
Enjoy the breathtaking panorama of surrounding snow mountains that encircle the pass, facing views of the Manaslu Himalaya range extending towards Annapurna and Damodar Himal. From the top, a long descent leads back into an enchanting forest reaching Bhimthang.
Located within the Manang area, the adventure carries on heading downhill to Tilje and then reaching the end of the walk at Dharapani, a lovely village located on the road-head of the famous Annapurna and Manaslu Circuit trail.
From Dharapani, spend the last night nestled in the high hills of the Manaslu Himalaya range. Then, a long overland journey takes you back to Kathmandu, concluding your wonderful Manaslu Circuit Trekking adventure.
